Project Aim:<\/td>\nThe aim of the Component 3 – Scaling-up of investments in energy efficiency technologies for industry<\/p>\n

Project Component 3 (PC3) aims at accelerating the pace of investments in IEE projects and technologies by enhancing the use of available financing facilities for investments in industrial EE as well as to help mobilize additional financing from the Macedonian banking sector.\u00a0 PC3 is designed to focus on:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Increasing quality and number of IEE projects and investment proposals submitted to Macedonian banks;<\/li>\n
  2. Increasing the incentives for enterprises and banks to invest and engage in industrial energy efficiency projects.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Expected results and impacts:<\/td>\nThe Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) aims to mobilize and expand capacities, resources and relationships developed in the course of the Project in order to provide:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Expert assistance to enterprises for submitting IEE projects\/loan requests to NM commercial banks<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Expert assistance to NM commercial banks for technical review of IEE projects\/ loan requests<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cash incentives to NM industrial enterprises to invest in\/borrow for IEE projects<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Transaction costs subsidy to NM commercial banks offering\/issuing IEE loans in collaboration with the Project<\/p>\n

5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Verification visits to the sites of cash incentive recipients<\/p>\n

6)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Promotion of the IEE TAF with potential borrowers as well as commercial banks<\/p>\n

7)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Training of NM IEE consultants<\/p>\n

8)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Training of NM commercial banks<\/p>\n

9)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Established processes and management of the operations of the IEE TAF<\/p>\n
