Project Component 3 (PC3) aims at accelerating the pace of investments in IEE projects and technologies by enhancing the use of available financing facilities for investments in industrial EE as well as to help mobilize additional financing from the Macedonian banking sector.  PC3 is designed to focus on:

1. Increasing quality and number of IEE projects and investment proposals submitted to Macedonian banks;
2. Increasing the incentives for enterprises and banks to invest and engage in industrial energy efficiency projects.

1)      Expert assistance to enterprises for submitting IEE projects/loan requests to NM commercial banks

2)      Expert assistance to NM commercial banks for technical review of IEE projects/ loan requests

3)      Cash incentives to NM industrial enterprises to invest in/borrow for IEE projects

4)      Transaction costs subsidy to NM commercial banks offering/issuing IEE loans in collaboration with the Project

5)      Verification visits to the sites of cash incentive recipients

6)      Promotion of the IEE TAF with potential borrowers as well as commercial banks

7)      Training of NM IEE consultants

8)      Training of NM commercial banks

9)      Established processes and management of the operations of the IEE TAF
